Some New Reds
I've added some red inks to my collection, all in the top row. From left to right: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle from the De Atramentis Historic Persons Ink Collection, described as Oriental Red and definitely a deep red; Diamine's Poppy Red, a bright tomato color with some yellow in it; and J. Herbin's 1670 Rouge Hematite, a beautiful scarlet red. I've swabbed some other reds from my collection to compare, and find I'm looking at that De Atramentis Dornfelder with new appreciation. Reviews to follow, as soon as I find some open pens to ink up.
